If we were asked to imagine what the qualities of a good friend are, we could do no better than to remember Joe. HIs kindness, his caring compassion, his willingness to offer comfort and assistance, and his wit--for certain!--will remain with us forever. And Ann, you were and always will be his perfect partner. We so cherish the both of you and will forever. We love you.

Ann I was sorry to read of your husband’s passing. I do not know you but in reading the obit became very curious. My aunt Janith McGraw lived in Libertyville and passed away in 2002. She retired as the librarian at the high school Her husband Howard was a banker in Chicago and passed away several years before my aunt. With all this just wondering if your paths had crossed. Again my condolences. My phone number is 941-286-1637 if in fact you knew them.

My deepest sympathies to the entire Rezek family. As a friend of the Frunds, I had the pleasure of getting to know both Joe and Ann during their visits to Sewickley. Many laughs were shared and memories made. I hope knowing how many lives Joe impacted in positive, meaningful ways offers some small comfort during this difficult time.

Joe was one of a kind. He knew how to have a great time and how to do the hard work. He is someone I could depend on whether it was for fun, Rotary, or Kingsway events. Somehow I know he will have a list of things to do when we see him on the other side.
Darryl & Samantha Keys left a message on January 5, 2021:
Joe was a wonderful man and member of our community. He was fun to be with, immensely intelligent and was always first in line to look out for and to offer help to others. It was a privilege to know him and count him as a trusted friend and Rotary colleague. We will never forget his humor when we went to baseball spring training together, partnered in golf or when he was a regular attendee at our Rotary trivia nights. Similarly, how willing he was to give up his time to mentor our daughter Ellie about the college interview process or to support and encourage our daughter Kate's musical exploits. Joe was simply a fabulous guy who will be missed tremendously and who willl always remembered fondly. Condolences and deepest sympathy to Ann and all of Joe's family and friends.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

We had many great golf rounds with Joe & Ann, including one at Arcadia Bluffs in Arcadia, Michigan. We ran many golf tournaments together and have "moments to remember" when Joe's computer crashed at Green Blazer time. We will miss him.
