Agnes Smith, 103, of Port Charlotte, Florida, died peacefully Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Signature Healthcare of Port Charlotte.
Agnes was born August 31, 1914 in Bayonne, New Jersey to the late Andrew and Mary (Kosierowski) Zuber. She was employed for many years as a stenographer for General Dynamics, Electro Dynamic Division in Avenel, NJ. She moved to Port Charlotte from Bayonne in 1988. Agnes was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church.
She is survived by a son, Robert Edward Smith, of Boston, MA, a nieces Donna Petrella and Dorothy Artz, and nephew Alan Ulbricht, all of NJ, and Carole Terwilliger of Port Charlotte, whom she regarded as a loving daughter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Joseph Smith, who died in 1972, sisters Emily, Joan, Helen and Julia, and brothers Stanley and Andrew.
A memorial Mass will be held on Friday, October 27, 2017 at 11:00 AM at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 1441 Spear Street, Port Charlotte, FL 33948. Interment will follow in the St. Maximilian Kolbe Memorial Garden.
