Alan William Cutmore, 74, of Punta Gorda, Florida, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 19th, 2025, in Port Charlotte, Florida.

Alan was born in London, England, on June 23rd, 1950, to the late Albert A. and Frances Cutmore.  He always said he grew up in the war torn streets of London.  He resided in the Barnet area of London, and being a very bright student in grade school, he received an education award that was presented by the then minister of education, Margaret Thatcher.  Growing up, Alan greatly admired General Eisenhower and Winston Churchill and went on to be an accomplished musician, singer, and soundman in various bands.  He was also an accomplished boater and held a U.K. Captains license.

An electrician by trade, he became a project manager building large residential homes.  After a successful career in construction, Alan retired and became a resident of Florida in 2011, living on a motor yacht for five years.  He met his wife, Linda, at Laishley Marina, and they married in 2014.  Alan proudly became a U.S. citizen in 2019.  He said he came to Florida for the weather, settling in a home in Deep Creek with his loving wife Linda.

He is survived by his beloved wife Linda Joyce Cutmore, daughter Kelly May Cutmore, and brother, Michael Cutmore of London, England.

A viewing beginning at 1:00 Pm and service at 2:00 Pm, will be held for Alan on Tuesday, April 29th, 2025, at Roberson Funeral Homes located at 2151 Tamiami Trail in Port Charlotte.  Following the service, committal and burial will be held at Restlawn Memorial Gardens cemetery located in Port Charlotte.
