Acelia Baron, 95, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014 at her home in Port Charlotte.
Acelia was born June 10, 1919 in Haiti and moved to Port Charlotte 24 years ago from Brooklyn, New York. She was wonderful and compassionate mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew her.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Marie V. LaFaille of Port Charlotte and Altagrace Desarmes of Sarasota, FL; a sister, Noemie LaGuerre of Pennsylvania; her brother, Jerome Joseph of Haiti; 11 grandchildren, Jeff, Samuel, Joel, Naomi, Orpa, Elyze, Seth, Tamar, Esther, Bithja and Athalie and 15 great-grandchildren; 2 nieces, Judith LaGuerre of PA and Guerda LaGuerre of NJ and several other nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held 10:00 AM-11:00 AM, Saturday, October 18, 2014 at Faithlife Church, 20190 Iliade Ave. Port Charlotte, FL 33952 with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte, FL.
