Aline B. Barrett, 79, a resident of Port Charlotte formerly of Lakeland, Florida, passed away Friday, December 18, 2009 at Tidwell Hospice House in Port Charlotte.
Born Aline Barbara Darwin on May 10, 1930 in Ferndale, Michigan to the late William and Enid Darwin, Aline, a retired Regional Director for Western Union, left her native Michigan and eventually moved to Lakeland, Florida in 1983. She relocated to Port Charlotte to be closer to family in 2006, and enjoyed the friends she made at Royal Palm Retirement Centre. Aline was Roman Catholic.
She is survived by her four beloved children, son Charles R. (Darlene) Rodebaugh of Raleigh, NC, and daughters Marilyn R. (James) Kraemer of Lebanon, OR, Victoria A. (Jerome) Wasik of Winter Springs, FL, and Sandra J. (Dean) Cauley of Port Charlotte, FL; seven grandchildren and eighteen great grandchildren. In addition to Aline’s parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Enid Platt, a brother, William Darwin, and her beloved husband Paul Barrett.
