He was born April 11, 1921 in Sorrento, Italy and moved to Port Charlotte, Florida 20 years ago from Howell, New Jersey. He was a proud business owner for many years before retiring. He was a Communications Specialist for the Italian Navy in 1938 and worked as a radio operator for 10 years. He was a member of the Italian American Club in Punta Gorda, FL for many years. He was an outstanding gardener and farmer and was a champion bocce player for the Italian American Club Senior Olympics.
Survived by his loving daughters, Jeanette (George) Mardinly of Locust, New Jersey and Angela (David) Starita of Brooklyn, New York; a sister, Letizia Starita of Sorrento, Italy. He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Roma A. Starita.
