ANTHONY KESHECKI, 83, of North Port, Florida passed away Monday, August 29, 2011 at his residence. He was born December 21, 1927 in Staten Island, New York and moved to North Port in 2003 from Staten Island. Anthony was a veteran of WW II serving in the US Army.
He was a retired plant Forman for American Cyanamid company in Linden, NJ for 47 years ,Anthony was a member of San Pedro Catholic Church in North Port. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. HE Was an Avid bowler and played for St. Anthony’s baseball team, drafted to play for the New York Yankee’s but had to give up his dream to join the U.S. Army. “Nunny “as he was nicknamed in his hometown of Travis in Staten Island, also played soccer with the champion Team “The Favorite” in 1948, He was also a master marble champion. He was the best husband and father in the whole world and a devout Miami Dolphins and New York Yankees fan.
Survived by his loving wife of 60 years, Gloria Keshecki of North Port; two daughters, Kory (Husband, Noel) Muniz of North Port and Sharee (Husband, Philip) Balletto of Lecanto, FL; a sister, Stella Koran of Staten Island ; a brother, Stanley Keshecki of New York; six grandchildren, Tiffany Nazzaro, Justin Prosak, Garrett Prosak, Brandin Muniz, Bryce Muniz, and Vizkaya Muniz ; six great grandchildren, Joseph Nazzaro Jr., Gianna Nazzaro, Justin Prosak, Jr., Shane Prosak, Keegan Prosak and Caydence Prosak.
Visitation will be held Friday, Sept. 2, 2011 from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel . Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday 10:00 AM, September 2, 2011 at San Pedro Catholic Church in North Port. Military honors will follow by the US Army.
