Anthony “Tony” Paul Banks, 44, passed away and went home to Heaven on Saturday, July 22, 2017 in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
Tony was born and raised near Boston, Massachusetts. He spent some of his early adult life on the Pacific West coast. He always stayed closely connected with his family. After spending a year or two with his family who had moved to Florida, he returned to his roots in Massachusetts. It was there that he met his former spouse, Christine Baker, and they moved to Florida in 2006. They had walked a hard road through good times and bad times together for 15 years.
Tony worked as a flooring tile contractor for most of his adult life. He found much comfort and rest in walking his life with God. He was active in helping and encouraging others in his church whenever he had the opportunity. He has touched many lives and will be truly missed.
Tony is survived by his parents, Ken and Cindy Banks; as well as his sisters, Tracy Newman and her 3 daughters, Carli, Anna, and Sarah; Tina Platt and her husband Eddie Platt, and their sons Bryce and Brody. He is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 5, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Word of Life Church, 2120 Collier Ave, Fort Myers, FL 33901.
