Arlene Joyce Visner, 86, of Lake Suzy, Florida, formerly of Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her children on Wednesday, January 24, 2018, in Port Charlotte.
Arlene was born September 24, 1931, in Middleville, Michigan, to the late George and Josephine Noffke. Arlene, and her husband Charles R. Visner, moved to the Port Charlotte area from Canal Fulton, Ohio in 1986. Arlene, who was a mother to three children, enjoyed being both a grandmother and great grandmother as well. She will be greatly missed by her family.
Arlene is survived by her three children, son, John (Darla) Visner of Sandyville, OH, and daughters Jane (Rick) Pollock of Akron, OH, and Julie (Robert) Koch of Port Charlotte, FL; eight grandchildren, Johnny, Tommy, Josh, Andrew, Tara, Brock, Jack, and Charlie; six great grandchildren, Brooke, Savannah, Sadie, Addison, Taylor, and Uly; a sister, Betty Finkbiener of Grand Rapids, MI; and numerous extended family members. In addition to her parents, Arlene was preceded in death by her siblings Lois Fernner and Fred Noffke, and in May of 2005, her beloved husband Charles.
A private service to celebrate Arlene’s life, will be held for her at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations in Arlene’s name to Tidewell Hospice, Philanthropy Department at 5955 Rand Boulevard, Sarasota, Florida 34238.
