Arthur G. Petucci, 97, of Port Charlotte, FL joined the love of his life, Margaret, in heaven on Sunday, October 14, 2012 at his residence in Port Charlotte.

Arthur was born January 31, 1915 in Brooklyn, NY. He worked as a security officer in a hospital for many years before retiring and moving to Florida. He was a member of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and National Guard, and served in the WWII Pacific Theater. “Old Soldiers never die, they just fade away.”

Survived by his two daughters, Andrea Rich and Faye (John) Mills both of Port Charlotte, FL; sister, Dorothy Klaus of Wallkill, NY; grandfather of John (Rhiannon) Mills, Joseph (Amy) Mills, Joshua Rich, James Mills and Tina Raimer; great-grandfather of Teagan, Quinnlyn, Liam and Savannah Mills.

A visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. Wednesday, October 17, 2012 at Roberson Funeral Home, Port Charlotte Chapel. A Mass of Christian Burial with Military Honors by the U.S. Army will be held 10 A.M. Thursday, October 18, 2012 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church.

We will all miss Pop. l7 years ago we moved across the street; and then a single mom with 3 little ones, he was the first to greet me. I always felt so secure knowing he, his dog, and his lights were watching. I find it ironic to learn he was a security guard in his life; I know he was mine. Our sincere condolences to the family. He will always be remembered as a very kind and noble man; and a tuff ol' bird! It was a pleasure knowing him.
