We will all miss Pop. l7 years ago we moved across the street; and then a single mom with 3 little ones, he was the first to greet me. I always felt so secure knowing he, his dog, and his lights were watching. I find it ironic to learn he was a security guard in his life; I know he was mine. Our sincere condolences to the family. He will always be remembered as a very kind and noble man; and a tuff ol' bird! It was a pleasure knowing him.

Daddy I cannot believe any of this. Yes, you were 97 but I wanted more time with you. Thank you for being the finest man I have ever known. You set such a wonderful example for Joshua on how to be an honest, loving and caring Dad. Rest now and kiss mommy for me.

Faye is right our lives will never be the same. You had a few health scares over the years but always came back. Guess I thought you could do it one more time. Daddy I miss you so much I want you home with me again.

Pop will always be remembered and missed by me and the family. My prayers are with the loved ones who are still with us, and my happiness is found when I think that now Pop rests with Margaret in house of the lord. His kind words will never be forgotten. All my thoughts and prayers are with you, Clayton Spittler

Until we are together as a family again, my life will never be the same. Our time with you was too short.
Faye Mills left a message on October 16, 2012:
How lucky I am to have had him as my father. He worked hard all his life for us and truly loved my mother. The time we had together was just not enough. I hope there is a time when we will all be together as a family again.
