She was born in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania, January 11, 1952, to the late Raymond and Mildred Stepler. Barbara moved to Florida in 1984 from Pennsylvania. She was a retired Registered Nurse of 40 years and a former member of the First Baptist Church of Port Charlotte, now the Family Church. Barbara touched many lives in her nursing career and in her residency at Life Care Center.
Survived by her son, Benjamin R. George, IV of Baker, Florida, her granddaughter, Kayleigh (George) Fraizer of Indiana and Noah Fraizer, her great grandson.
Celebration of Life will begin at 1:00 PM Monday at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel followed by services and entombment at 2:00 PM Monday, August 12, 2024 at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, 1380 Forrest Nelson Blvd., Port Charlotte, Florida 33952.
