Barbara L. McLain, 84, of Rotonda West, Florida passed away Saturday, December 1, 2018 at her home in Port Charlotte.

Barbara was born to William and Kathleen Maxson on December 10, 1933 in Columbus, OH. Barbara was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother. She loved life to the fullest and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Survivors include her daughter, Amy E. (T.J.) Wardell of Rotonda West; 2 sons, Jeff (Jennifer) McLain of Port Charlotte and Andrew (Betsy) McLain of Venice, FL; 2 sisters, Carol Amicon and Melody Weeks; 3 brothers, Larry, Sherman and Tom Dow; 8 grandchildren, Tasha Angelini, Micheal Strickland, Melanie Latanza, Joseph Wardell, Andrew Wardell, Tasha Wardell, Philip McLain and Shannon Horn; 7 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton McLain, Sr., her son, Clifton McLain, Jr. and her daughter, Debra Strickland.
