Barbara G. Vining, 73 of Punta Gorda, Florida passed away Monday, August 29, 2011 at her home in Punta Gorda.

Barbara was born November 1, 1937 in Washington, DC and moved to Port Charlotte 29 years ago from Loranger, Louisiana. She was a member of Peace River Wesleyan Church in Port Charlotte. Barbara was an avid bowler and bingo player. She was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend and will be missed dearly by all who loved and knew her.

She is survived by her 2 daughters, Jeanette Goff of N. Fort Myers, FL and Deborah Byers of Port Charlotte; a sister, Jean Painter of Crossville, TN; 4 grandchildren, Paul Williams, Jr., Stephanie Williams, Ashley Wilkinson and Aaron Goff and 3 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Kenneth and Charlotte Gillingham and her son, Michael Ball.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00AM, Thursday, September 1, 2011 at Peace River Wesleyan Church, 25180 Harborview Road Port Charlotte, FL. A Graveside Service and Interment will follow at Royal Palm Memorial Gardens in Punta Gorda, FL.

In Lieu of flowers, Memorial bequest in Barbara’s name is suggested to Peace River Wesleyan Church, Administration Office, 2176 Harbor Drive Punta Gorda, FL 33983.
