Barry Robert McClure, 69, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Monday,
February 1, 2010 at Peace River Regional Medical Center in Port Charlotte. Barry was
Born October 1, 1940 Boston, Mass. Barry was a Sgt. In the United States Air Force for over
Ten years of service, veteran of the Vietnam War. He moved to Port Charlotte with his wife Cheryl Twelve years ago from Marietta, GA. He was a Cable and fiber optics technician with Southern Bell In Atlanta for many years before retiring to Port Charlotte. In Port Charlotte he worked and enjoyed Helping people at Morton’s Ace Hardware in Port Charlotte. He was a loving husband, father, brother, Grandfather and friend who will be missed very much, but not forgotten. He was an honorable man.
Survived by his loving wife, Cheryl T. McClure of Port Charlotte; two daughters, Brenda (husband Mark) Hightower of Logansville, GA. And Evonne Dean of Woodstock, GA; two sons, Brett (wife Carrie) McClure of Navarre, FL. And Tommy Wilson of Los Angeles, CA; a sister, Rose Tison of Port Charlotte; three grandchildren, Airman Brandon Hightower, Andi Gaskin and Taylor Gaskin.
There will be a visitation today, February 5, 2010 from 2:00pm to 4:00 pm with a funeral service
At 4:00 pm at Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory Port Charlotte Chapel. Rev. Bob Carlson will
