Betty K. DeLong, 87, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Thursday, February 11, 2010
at Tidewell Hospice, Port Charlotte.
Betty was born June 27, 1922 in Tremont City, Ohio and moved to Port Charlotte
in 1976 from Columbus, Ohio. She was a member of the Port Charlotte United Methodist
Church, life member of the Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Phi at Ohio State University,
Life member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Member of the Women’s Club of Ohio State University, American Legion Auxiliary of Post 110 of Port Charlotte, Ladies Auxiliary of the Reserve Officers Club of Port Charlotte, the University Club and Ohio Club of Port Charlotte.
Betty is survived by many dear friends including Thomas and Sandra Trinter, their
son, Scott and daughter, Kristen of Columbus, OH and Marty and Sidney White of Port
Charlotte; She was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years, Paul W. DeLong, who died last year.
