Gramma Betty was one of the most loyal, caring and selfless people I have ever known. She never had a harsh word for anyone and was always willing to help. She absolutely loved her family, adored her grand and great grandchildren. She was the absolute definition of a lady. We will miss you Gramma!

Jennifer and family, I am very sorry about your loss. I worked closely with Jenny and I know how hard this will be. Betty would come to Bayshore Elementary School and work with the students and help out Jen. She always smiled and had a kind word for everyone. Losing her husband was the event that started her spirit to decline. Now they can be together and be young forever. I have lost both my parents and I know the sadness that you will feel everyday. My deepest sympathies, Barbara A. Nelson

To Jennifer and family. My condolences on Betty's passing. She was so much fun working in the classroom and just unflappable no matter the crisis of the moment for one of Jean's big events. We all enjoyed her and will miss her inspiration.

Betty, you were fierce in your love for your children. You would do anything to help them find their way more than once. Your children's love for you speaks volumes. No matter who was in your house when I visited, I could see the love and respect they had for you. Betty Girl, I will miss your tuna fish salad. No one will ever make it as good as you did! I loved seeing you serve your family day in and out. Your dinners were fabulous and always made with love. You were fierce in your love for your children. You would do anything to help them find their way more than once. Your children's love for you speaks volumes. No matter who was in your house when I visited, I could see the love and respect they had for you. I'm sure Dick met you with pad and pencil in hand and wants your help with the census in Heaven. Embrace our Heavenly Father and we will all see you both again one day. love, Cindy

Jen, I've missed you terribly. But I am so happy you were able to spend so much time with your dad and mom since you left Burkburnett. Your mom was blessed to have such a devoted daughter and family. If you need anything, please let me know. I love you.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.

To Debra, Jenny, Jim, David, Rick and families, We were saddened to hear of the death of Betty. What a wonderful person. Her visits to Lois in Beloit, always included a stop at our house, too. She cared about all of us, especially our two sons, Andy and Chris. Her visits included "up to the minute" reports of what was happening in their lives. Birthdays and holidays were always remembered with cards. The arrival of "Aunt Betty's Christmas package" was much anticipated. She always lovingly made a special ornament for each of the boys. The ornaments were saved and now hang on their own trees. Her laughter, caring and love touched us all. A "hole" will be left with her passing. We have been blessed to have known her and had her in our lives. Carol & Ron Josh

Dear Jennifer, I am so sorry for the loss of your mother. Not matter how long we have a parent, we are never ready to give them up. You were blessed to have lived nearby where you could see her on a regular basis. Moving to be near your parents was a great decision on your part. I pray that God will bring you peace as you travel this difficult time in the days ahead. Your former co-worker Sue Watson

Some of my best memories of Aunt Betty are the handcrafted Christmas ornaments she would make Andy (my brother) and I each and every holiday. Aunt Betty would visit Grandpa (Ronald) & Grandma (Lois) Josh when she could during the holidays, as well. When Aunt Betty could not make the journey; we were assured a new ornament would be waiting for us Christmas Day at Grandpa and Grandmas’. We love and miss those days. Our memories of Aunt Betty will continue each Christmas as we open the always anticipated ornament boxes to decorate our trees with our new families. Thank you for the memories, we love and miss you. Chris & Laura Josh (San Diego, California)

TRULY I WISH THAT I HAD KNOWN JUST A FEW DAYS AGO SO I COULD ATTEND HER AND HER FAMILY AT THE PILGRIM UNITED CHURCH OF CHRIST. I FOUND OUT TODAY WHEN JENNIFER CALLED ME --- AND I WOULDN'T KNOW WHERE TO BEGIN TO SAY HOW ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL DICK AND BETTY TREDER WERE TO OUR COMMUNITY IN LAKE SUZY. THEY MAY HAVE BEEN THE MOST DELIGHTFUL COUPLE I HAVE EVER KNOWN -- DICK'S DEDICATION TO COMMUNITY SERVICE WITHIN OUR POA, BETTY'S TOTAL DEVOTION TO HER HUSBAND, HER CHILDREN, HER HOME, THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY --- SHE WILL BE SORELY MISSED BY MANY. JENNIFER IS A ONE-OF-A-KIND DAUGHTER AND WAS TOTALLY DEVOTED TO THEM BOTH. MY HEART ACHES WITH HERS -- WITH HER SISTERS, BROTHERS, FAMILY THAT WE HAVE LOST HER AND DICK. I WILL NEVER FORGET THEIR MANY HEART WARMING SUPPORT AND CONTRIBUTIONS, AND MAY SHE REST IN PEACE AND SPEND THE REST OF ETERNITY IN HEAVEN WITH THE LOVE OF HER LIFE AND HER BEST FRIEND, DICK. GOD BLESS EVERYONE WHO HAD THE PRIVILEDGE TO KNOW THEM -- THEY WERE BOTH RAYS OF SUNSHINE TO EVERYONE WHOSE LIVES THEY TOUCHED.

We would like to offer our deepest and most sincere sympathies to the loss of your mother. Ms. Betty,as my son Devin called her, was admired by all of the students in Mrs. Wilson's class. He was extremely fortunate to have her for two years when she went fro 4th to 5th grade and carried her students with her. He knew her better than I, but I have become friends with Jennifer over the years and know what an incredible person Ms. Betty had to be because she raised a wonderful person in her! I know how deeply she will be missed but know in your heart she is at peace and is waiting in heaven to hold you all in her arms again one day. All our love, Sherri, Devin, Alexa and Conner Albritton

Sending our love and sympathy for y'all from Tibor and I here at the tennis center. Just read the beautiful tribute in the church bulletin. Makes us feel like we knew Betty. Thank you, Debra, for sharing. You all must be so proud of your Mom. Just had to sign your Memory Book. May you find peace in the fond memories of your Mom. Fondly, Tibor & Betty

A great mom to all her kids and supportive wife to husband, no matter what. Personally, to me, some one who never let me get away with anything and made the best " grandma's chicken"! I'll miss her.
