Blossom A. Wedderburn, 69, of North Port, Florida passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 27, 2024, at Life Care Center of Punta Gorda.

Blossom was born July 28, 1954, in Jamaica, West Indies to the late George and Jenese (Blue) Sloley. She immigrated to the United States in 1969 to Brooklyn, New York. She moved to Florida in 1986 with her family. She worked as a Medical Records Specialist and in Healthcare Information for over 10 years and owned and operated an adult group home and foster care with her husband for over 15 years.

She is survived by her loving family, her husband, Desmond P. Wedderburn of North Port; a daughter, Tisha and (husband -Wilfred) Brown of Orlando, FL; 10 sisters and 1                            brother, Adeline Sloley, Ruby Finley, Herbert (One-Son) Sloley, Ethlyn Sloley, Marlene Brown, Marcia Sloley, Claudia Sloley, Suzette (Girley) Fenton, Nellie Sloley, Jacqueline Sloley, and Joan Brown. 2 grandchildren, Chloe and Kaiori Brown, and 46 nieces and nephews: and a host of grand & great grand nieces and nephews over 5 generations.

Visitation will be held Friday 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM, July 12, 2024, at Roberson Funeral Home, 2151 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33948.  Funeral services will be held Saturday 11:00 AM, July 13, 2024, at the Sonshine Baptist Church, 23105 Veterans Blvd., Port Charlotte, FL 33954.  Entombment will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens in Port Charlotte.
