Mr. Burnett Bernard Boyce, 89, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away Wednesday night, December 10, 2008 at Charlotte Regional Medical Center in Punta Gorda.
Burnett, or Boyce’ as he was known to family and friends, was born on September 22, 1919 in Freehold, New Jersey. A retired construction engineer, Boyce’ lived in Brigeston, New Jersey until relocating to Punta Gorda, Florida in 1985. He is a former member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Loyal Order of Moose and B.P.O. Elks Lodges, all of Port Charlotte.
Boyce’ is survived by his children, daughters Gail Primmer, Helen Levey, Louise Vital, Beverly (husband – Richard) Cunningham, and Kathy Shackelford, and numerous grand, great grand and great, great grandchildren. He was recently preceded in death by his beloved wife Louisa Menetta Boyce on October 24, 2008; previously, by sons Greg and Gregory Boyce, grand son and daughter, Larry and Darlene Levey, and one brother.
