Born to the late Martha and George H. McCartney in New Philadelphia, Ohio, on October 1, 1932, Pat, a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and retired businessman, moved from Kettering to Punta Gorda in August of 2000. He was a member of the First Methodist Church – Punta Gorda.
He is survived by a daughter, Jo Lynn Yeary of Ft. Myers, FL; a sister, Sue Lynn Edstrom of AL; a brother, Michael McCartney of AZ; three grandchildren, one great grand-daughter; three nieces and two nephews. In addition to his parents, Pat was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Julia “Julie” L. McCartney in 2006.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 p.m. on Monday, July 1, 2013 at the First United Methodist Church -Punta Gorda. Rev. Mike Loomis, Pastor, will officiate.
Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory Punta Gorda Chapel.
