Born in Chicago, Illinois to the late Harold and Marjorie (nee-Kramer) Schwartz, on June 25, 1939, Carole, a former Secretary, and her husband Ronald O. Nelson, moved to Punta Gorda from Northbrook, Illinois in 1994. She was a member of the Punta Gorda Civic Association and Twin Isles Country Club.
She is survived by her beloved husband of 54 years, Ronald O. Nelson; son, Ronald M. Nelson; daughter, Cindy (James E.) Briody; and grandchildren, Brian and Brianna Briody. In addition to her parents, Carole was preceded in death by her only sister, Violet Wall.
A Memorial Service celebrating Carole’s life will be held 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at Roberson Funeral Home’s Punta Gorda Chapel. Rev. Bob Carlson will officiate. A private celebration service for Carole will be held in her native Illinois at a later date.
Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory, Punta Gorda Chapel.
