Dear family and friends of Kathy, I am deeply saddened to hear of Kathy's passing. I met her in Lemon Bay while taking Master's Coaching lessons and racing with the team. She was a dedicated team mate and worked tirelessly to make our Lemon Bay experiences wonderful. May you all find comfort in knowing she was deeply appreciated and is rowing somewhere in peace. My sincere condolences to the family of Cathy Spencer. She was such a dependable fixture in the many years of Lemon Bay clinics that I attended. Her attention to detail and ability to resolve equipment and personnel issues was outstanding. The world has lost a shining light, particularly in the rowing community.

Cathy introduced me to rowing at the Lemon Bay Crew Club. She was among the club's foundation. Known for her expertise, hard work, and endless patience with me and other new rowers learning the craft. She will be missed more than we know at this time.

Cathy was such a wonderful friend -- I miss her deeply. She was a special woman, filled with kindness, integrity and love for so many people. Cathy helped me and MastersCoaching with all of our Lemon Bay clinics over many, many years. At a recent MC rowing camp in Canada, we all raised a toast to Cathy's memory. She was loved and will be missed by the hundreds of MC rowers whose lives she touched.

Cathy Spencer was the gatekeeper for Lemon Bay Jan/Feb clinics. I always waited with bated breath to hear back from her if I made it into a clinic. She had my back whenever I needed to make an unexpected change. Cathy was a lovely, kind individual who donated I don't know how many hours to support the rowing community and helped many people enjoy the water. She is sorely missed.
Peace of mind is a call away. We’re here when you need us most.
