Claude R. Ferron, 88, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away Thursday, December 20, 2012 at Fawcett Memorial Hospital in Port Charlotte.
Claude was born January 28, 1924 in Manchester, New Hampshire and moved to Port Charlotte in 1982 from Albany, New York. Claude was a WWII veteran who served proudly in the U.S. Army. He was a member of St. Maximillian Kolbe Catholic Church and a member of the Knights of Columbus council # 11483 in Port Charlotte. He was a wonderful man who adored his wife and children. Claude was an amazing man at heart who would do anything for anyone. He will truly be missed by all who loved and knew him.
He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Gloria Ferron; 2 sons, Kenneth (Patti) Ferron of Nashua, NH and Leonard (Brenda) Ferron of Candia, NH; a brother, Edward (Shirley) Ferron of Albuquerque, NM; 5 grandchildren, Jennifer Doak, Jason Ferron, Alison Jacobs, Melissa Ferron and Christopher Ferron and 19 great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00AM, Friday, December 28, 2012 at St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church, 1441 Spear Street Port Charlotte, FL 33948. Inurnment with military honors will follow at St. Maximilian Kolbe Memorial Garden.
