Curtis Alan Frysinger, 72, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 31, 2024, following health complications.
He was born on December 15, 1951, in Napoleon, Ohio to Burdette and Mary Lou (née-George) Frysinger. Curtis graduated from Napoleon High School in 1970 and attended Ohio State University for a short time until he headed to Florida and started bartending and eventually nightclub management. Curtis always had fun and lived an interesting life. He enjoyed sharing stories of his days working in Miami during the late 70’s. Curtis worked in car sales and owned a Process Serving business until his retirement.
In 2012, he met the love of his life, Margee Conroy in Port Charlotte. They were avid golfers and Curtis was instrumental in bringing the pickleball program to their Riverwood community. He had a green thumb, enjoyed entertaining, fishing, and helping family and friends with their electronics.
Curtis is survived by his partner and love, Margee Conroy of Port Charlotte, FL; two sisters, Debra (Jim) Bernath of Sandusky, OH, and Pam (Mike) Kruse of Ridgeville Corners, OH; one niece, Jaime (Andy) Brown; three nephews, Scott (Monica) Westhoven, Paul (Amanda) Kruse, and Mark (Laura Petro) Kruse; two grandnephews and one grandniece. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Memorial donations in lieu of flowers are suggested to the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation, the American Cancer Society, or a charity of donor’s choice.
