Daniel M. Sabatino, was called home to Jesus on Saturday August 29, 2020 at age 70.
Dan was born to Raphael Sabatino and Mary Caterino Sabatino on January 10, 1950 in Boston Massachusetts. Dan earned his Masters Degree in Mathematics at Bentley College in Waltham Massachusetts. In his early life Dan was a college professor and a builder/contractor in the Boston Area. In 1988 he moved his family to Punta Gorda Florida and opened a small tile company which he grew into the thriving business that we all know today as Tile and Marble Showcase.
Dan had many interest and hobbies including golf and football, he was an avid New England Patriots fan, but most of all Dan loved his work and was fascinated by the stone industry.
Daniel is leaving behind his former wife Dora Jones Sabatino of Punta Gorda, his 3 children, daughter Leah and husband Chris White, son’s Vincent and Ryan Sabatino all of Punta Gorda; his 2 sister’s, Maria and husband Robert Jackson of Massachusetts and Carolann Sabatino of Hawaii; and his 2 grandchildren Alexis and Gavin White of Punta Gorda. Daniel is preceded in death by his mother Mary, his father Father Raphael, and his brother Anthony Sabatino.
A Memorial service will be held at 2pm Friday, September 4, 2020 at Roberson Funeral Home, 215 Mary Street in Punta Gorda. In compliance with suggested guidelines to help prevent the further spread of Covid 19 and protect our most vulnerable and at-risk individuals, we ask anyone in attendance to please be respectful of others and observe social distancing and wear a personal protective mask.
