Danny Ray Jarrell, 83, of North Port, Florida died Friday, May 10, 2024, at Sarasota Memorial Hospital, Sarasota, Florida.

Danny was born September 29, 1940, in Packsville, West Virginia to the late Carl and Ora (Miller) Jarrell. He was a U.S. Army veteran and retired from the U.S. Postal Service. Danny was a member of American Legion Posts in Gurnee, IL  and Port Charlotte, FL. He was preceded in death by his two sisters Debby Bailey , and Patty Hicks, and brother-in-law Arlie Hicks, and sister-in-law Shirley Jarrell.

Survived by his loving family, his wife of 60 and a half years, Sandra J. Jarrell (Brown),  of North Port, FL; two sons, Stephen Jarrell, his wife Alma, and their two children Derek and Daniella, of Vernon Hills, IL and Brian Jarrell, his fiancé Julie of Clearwater, FL; a sister, Judy (Glen) Jarrell of Charleston, WV; two brothers, Gene (Doris) Jarrell of Charleston, WV and Jay Jarrell of Sullivan, IL. Many nieces and nephews.

Memorial services celebrating Danny’s life will be held Saturday 11:00 AM, May 18, 2024, at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel, 2151 Tamiami Trail, Port Charlotte, FL 33948. Rev. Denvil Farley of the Port Charlotte Global Methodist Church will officiate with military honors by a U.S. Army Honor Guard.
