DAVID ROGER ALIX, 77, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Friday, April 19, 2013 at Peace River Regional Medical Center, Port Charlotte.

Dave was born August 2, 1935 in Burlington, Vermont and moved to Port Charlotte in 1985 from there. He was the co-owner of Silk-N-Sea Gift Shop in Port Charlotte for many years. Dave was a member of Knights of Columbus Council #11483 of St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church.

He is survived by his business partner and companion, Roland E. “Ron” Ferguson of Port Charlotte; three nephews, Danny Alix, Jr., Thomas Alix, and David Alix, a niece, Tracy Desilets; many cousins and friends.
