Born November 5, 1950 in Dayton, Ohio to the late Ernest & Gladiola Carpenter, Mike, a retired accountant, from Tennessee, moved to Sarasota, Florida in 2002, where he met and married Victoria “Vikki” Porter. A graduate of Ohio State University, he was a fervent Ohio State Alumnus and Civil War Historical enthusiast.
He is survived by his wife of 8 ½ years, Vikki Carpenter; a son, Christopher Michael Carpenter; a daughter, Ashley Nicole Carpenter; step-daughters, Nicole Aimee-Michelle Dowling and Kristin Marie Waller; grandson, Caleb Waller; a brother, Mark “Kevin” Carpenter; and many extended family members. In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest Allen Carpenter.
Private family funeral services and burial will be held in Crossville, Tennessee. Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Homes & Crematory Punta Gorda Chapel.
