It is amazing how one individual can impact your life in a big way - Dennis was one of those individuals.
Our prayers extend for you and yours.
But may the God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.

Dear Debbie and Laney,
It was my joy to have known Dennis as a fellow Rotarian and as a dedicated educator at the Pankey Institute. We admired his drive to enjoy life and to challenge himself to become better at everything he participated in.
We pray that you experience God's peace and comfort now and in the days ahead.

Debbie Life is just so unfair at times and this is definitely one of them. The Lord must have wanted some country music concerts up there. We will think of the good times often and miss him very much. Take Care and know that we are here if you need anything. Love & God Bless Kathy
We are so sorry for your loss. We always felt like part of the family when coming to Dr. Munholand's office. To the family and wonderful team at his office, our thoughts and prayers will continue to be with you all at this very difficult time. He will be greatly missed. God Bless.
The question is: How can we possibly go on from here without him? A poem for your grief.
Death is nothing at all, I have only slipped away into the next room,I am I and you are you;
Whatever we were to each other, That we still are.
Call me by my old familiar name, Speak to me in the easy way which you always used,
Put no difference in your tone,
Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow.
Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes we shared together.
Let my name ever be the household word that it always was.
Let it be spoken without effect, without the trace of a shadow on it.
Life means all that it ever meant,
It is the same as it ever was, there is unbroken continuity.
Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight?
I am waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.
All is well.

As patients of Dr. Munholand for many years, please accept our heartfelt expression of sympathy for you and your family on your loss. The community grieves with you for the loss of a wonderful, caring and dedicated man, and we know that your loss and grief run so much deeper. I too lost a husband unexpectedly, and understand the kind of pain you are going through right now. Keep your faith in God -- it WILL see you through. God Bless You.
How very saddened and shocked I am to hear of this terrible tragedy and your family's loss. It was six weeks ago today that we shared a limo at Woody Oakes' Seminar in Destin where we were both speaking. You, Dennis and I shared so much in that one hour ride. I also looked forward to spending more time with two of the nicest people I've met in my 28 years of travel!
Dennis was one of those rare jewels of a person. If you met him once, you knew he was kind, compassionate and a fine dentist and person. He was also a wonderful family man.
Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you at this very difficult time. And also the task ahead of you is never greater than the power behind you.
Linda and Don Miles, Virginia Beach, VA
Debra please accept my deepest condolence. Dr. Munholand was a great dentist. He will be missed. A terrible loss to the community. I always apprciated all the country music shows from Nashville that he brought to Charlotte County. No one will be able to take his place.
My heart and prayers go out to you and your family.
My dear friend Debbie, Our prayers go out to you and your family while you cope with the tragic loss of Dennis. I remember when I first met Dennis at Dr. Parkers office. We all had some great times together at office parties, outings and mettings.I was so pleased to see all of you at the 2006 Dental Congress meeting.Deb, please call if you need to talk to someone. You have been a dear friend thru the years even though we have not seen that much of each other thru the past 10 years. We all continue on by the beautiful memories of our dear loved ones. May God be with you and your family. Love, Dottie, Chris, Deborah and Derek

I pray that God will wrap his loving arms around you and Laney and give you peace during this difficult time. Debbie, I remember the first time you met Dennis and came home telling me about this handsome dentist, new to town and my age. I thought how thoughtful she is to look for a guy for me, and you said, no sweetie, sparks flew when we saw each other and he is the one for me forever. Well, forever came too soon and we are so sorry. He left holes in so many hearts
and beautiful smiles in many others.
We love you and are here for you forever. Love, Lin and Doug

We first met you and Dennis working on the Project Graduation for CHS in 2003. We were so impressed by your friendliness, enthusiasm and can-do attitude. Project Graduation was Dennis' baby and what a wonderful cause to promote. What you two have done for the community and the youth of Punta Gorda will never be forgotten! Dennis has a wonderful legacy in what he has given to his community. We feel a terrible sense of loss, but it is nothing to compare to your personal loss. We send our deepest sympathies to you and your family. Our hearts are hurting for you and our thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Ron and Dianne
Dear Debbie, Laney and family,
While words seem so inadequate we have to let you know how much Dennis meant to us personally and to our profession. Teaching at the Pankey Institute is a great honor mostly because we are blessed to associate with truly great people. Dennis was truly a giant among them, mostly measured by the size of his heart. I know we, as others, will miss his caring spirit, his adventurous attitude, his love of life and his deep concern for others. We will miss him greatly but will think of him almost daily because of the gifts he left behind.
As I think of his passing I am reminded of a ship representing his life sailing toward the horizon and the enourmous wake he leaves behind because of who he was. And I look forward to a time when we will meet again on that distant shore.
May God's love be with you at this difficult time and always.
Jim and Vickie Otten
DEAR DEBBIE, IM SO SORRY TO HEAR OF YOUR LOSS. DENNIS SEEMED SO NICE WHEN WE MET HIM AT THE FAMILY REUNION A FEW YEARS AGO. HOLD ON TO ALL THOSE GOOD MEMORIES THAT YOU HAVE. TRUST IN THE LORD AND HE WILL GET YOU THRU THIS SORROWFUL TIME. LOVE, MIKE, JENNIFER AND MATTHEW DALRYMPLE
Our hearts are broken, but because you lived, our spirits remain strong.
You were a light in our lives and we were drawn to you.
Your light will shine forever within us.
Our tears in time will return to smiles and laughter when we think of you and the times we shared.

Dennis always had a smile and kind word for everyone. He will be missed by so many. My condolences to you and your family.
Debbie and Laney,
We are shocked and saddened by your tragic loss. Dennis was a kind man, with a wonderful soul, who will be missed by many.
Megan and I have many wonderful childhood memories spending time with Laney and your family. We would look forward to visiting the gentle dentist!
You are both in our hearts and prayers during this difficult time. God bless.
With unexpected suddenness, death has come among us. His death has robbed us of a Good Man. It is far too soon. The shock of Dennis’s death is visibly and profoundly felt by all with whom he has touched.
We will all feel the severe loss deeply, but some small measure of consolation may be found in the words of the poet, Walt Whitman:
He is not gone. He is just away,
With a cheery smile and the wave of the hand,
He has wandered into an unknown land,
And left us wondering how very fair that land may be, since he tarries there.
To Debbie, Laney and Family – Our Prayers are with you and for you…
Dear Debbie and Laney,
I am so sad to hear about the loss of Dennis. We went to school from kindergarten through high school! Such a nice, smart guy, everyone knew him and liked him and you just knew he would be successful. I remember meeting you at our 20th reunion, and he had you taking pictures of him with some of us oldies. As I read his obituary, and looked at his websites, his many accomplishments seemed so typical of him, such a bright, resourceful, ambitious, talented person. I am so sad to hear the news and my prayers are with you all. I am truly sorry.
Remembering Dr Munholand, thinking of his loved ones & friends. God Bless
Please accept our deepest condolences for your family's loss.
