Donald David Randolph Jr., 81, of Lake Suzy, Florida passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, August 22, 2025.
He was born on September 23, 1943 in Audobon County, Iowa. After relocating to Port Charlotte from Edina, Minnesota in 1990 and after working as a consultant for Coldwell Banker Corporation, he came to the area to put his real estate experience to use. He was the founder of Coldwell Banker Sunstar Realty in Port Charlotte, Punta Gorda, Englewood and North Port, FL. Upon retirement he remained active in the same field that he loved. Known for his warm personality and natural gift for connecting with others, he never met a person he didn’t like or a property he couldn’t sell. Another of his great joys besides family and work was golfing. Whether playing a round with friends or watching it on television. He loved to tell stories that made people smile and always had a way to make people feel at ease in his company. Don will be remembered for his generosity, humor and unwavering love for his family. His legacy lives on through the many lives he loved.
Survivors include his loving wife of 30 years, Suzie Randolph; his children, Jason and Ashley Randolph of Casper, Wyoming, David and Laura Randolph of Easley, South Carolina, Jason (Ann) Mohler of Port Charlotte, FL, Julie Doyle of Riverview, Florida and Jeni (Nick) Trautman of Jacksonville, FL; his loving grandchildren, Gabby, Brayden, Jaxon, Jessie, Emily, Brett, Victoria, Lauren and one cherished, Esme. Donald was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Sr. and Dorcas Randolph; his daughter, Molly Kindle and 2 sisters, Annabelle Christianson and Yvonne Jensen.
A celebration of life will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, October 4, 2025 at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Port Charlotte. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
