Born October 12, 1903 in Chicago, Illinois, Dorothy moved to Punta Gorda 18 years ago from Greenville, South Carolina. Roman Catholic, she was a loving wife, mother, grand and great grandmother.
Dorothy is survived by a daughter, Dorothy J. (Robert) Bunting of Punta Gorda, two sons, Robert Schmidt of Ocala, FL and Thomas Schmidt of Carmel, NY; eight grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Winfred H. Schmidt and a son David.
