Edward W. Diegoli Jr, 84 of Punta Gorda, FL, Hull, MA and Jackson, NH, passed away Wednesday January 11 in Punta Gorda.
He was born December 21, 1927 in Brockton, MA to Edward and Margret (Cappola) Diegoli. Edward attended Brockton HS and Admiral Farragut Academy. Edward was a veteran of WWII, serving in the U.S. Navy’s SEABEE Battalion 144 in the pacific theater. After the war he attended Franklin Institute and became the State of Massachusetts youngest Master Plumber. Edward owned and operated Diegoli and Baroni, a Plumbing and Heating Business in Brockton for over 30 years. While operating his business, he headed up the Brockton plumber’s union apprenticeship program. An avid Red Sox fan, his hobbies included fishing, woodcarving, bowling, hunting, skiing and cooking.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 60 years, Jennie F. Diegoli; daughter Susan Ramondetta; son John Diegoli, 4 grandkids and one great grandson.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00AM, Saturday, January 14, 2012 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
