Edward Everett Blanchard, Jr., 96 of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away on November 18, 2025.
Ed was born on May 15, 1929 in Portland, Maine the son of the late Priscilla and Edward E. Blanchard, Sr. Ed was the founder and owner of Blanchard Products in Portland, Maine until 1974 when he sold the business and he and his wife, June, moved to Bradenton, Florida. While in Florida both he and June worked in real estate. As far as real estate was concerned, he always said “location, location, location…” He and June moved to Tucson, Arizona for a few years after leaving Florida. There they had the time of their lives making new friends and traveling both in the United States and out of the country. They moved back to Port Charlotte, Florida in early 2002 to be closer to family.
Ed is survived by his loving son, Edward E. Blanchard, III (Connie); his cherished grandchildren Edward (Ted) E. Blanchard, IV (Cathy), Heather B. Henson (Clay) and Carrie B. Bush (Josh). He is also survived by his adored great grandchildren, Edward (Everett) E. Blanchard, V, Caitlin Blanchard, Kelsey Blanchard, Brodie Henson, Bradley Henson, Genola Bush, and Sayer Bush. Also surviving him are many nieces and nephews. Ed was preceded in death by the love of his life, June Blanchard, his beloved daughter, Beverly Blanchard, his parents, his sister, Barbara and his brother, Don.
Ed loved his family most of all. He gave each and every one of us such love and he was so loved back. He has left a family legacy and he will be missed every single day.
The family is planning a celebration of his life at a later date.
