Edward A. “Ed” Foley, 63, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012 in Port Charlotte.
Born October 14, 1948 in Waltham, Massachusetts to Eleanor and Joseph Foley, Ed, a disabled U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran, was a retired commercial H.V.A.C. engineer. Ed moved to Sarasota, Florida before settling in Port Charlotte in 1996. He was a member of Port Charlotte’s St. Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Deborah A. Foley; four sons, Shawn Edward Foley of Naples, FL, Shane Gerald Foley of Cumming, GA, and Chadwick James and Brennan Jon Foley of Bradenton, FL; and three grandchildren, Ava, Conner and Cooper Foley.
Visitation will be from 9 to 10 A.M. Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Roberson Funeral Homes Port Charlotte Chapel; Mass of Christian Burial will follow Thursday, January 12, at 10:30 A.M. at St. Maximilian Kolbe and burial with Military Honors by the U.S. Air Force will be held 2:30 P.M. Thursday at Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota.
