Edward Michael Krasowski, 88, of Sarasota, Florida, formerly of North Port died peacefully in his sleep on January 30, 2012, at Emeritus-Colonial Park Assisted Living in Sarasota. Born April 4, 1923, in Kenosha, Wisconsin, he is predeceased by his parents, Michael J. and Sophie B. (Tarylo) Krasowski of Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Ed’s occupation was a professional carpenter living in Racine, Wisconsin until 1963 at which time he became resort proprietor of Coles Point Resort on the Pike Lake Chain in Fifield, WI. He was a snowbird to the Punta Gorda and Port Charlotte areas in the 1970’s until retirement in 2000. He lived in North Port until July of last year when he and his wife moved to Sarasota to be near their daughter and family.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Lucille J. (Knapp) Krasowski; daughters, Carol Jean (Jack J.) Zerovec of Lake Placid, FL; Cheri (Paul Todd) Davis of Sarasota, FL; grandsons, Mark E. Zerovec and Dr. Paul M. (Donna) Zerovec and step-great granddaughter, Olivia Calderon of Milwaukee, WI; granddaughter, Aimee C. (John T.) Webb and great-grandchildren, Alexander C. Webb and Joanna T. Webb of Sarasota, FL; and his pets: Buddy (dog), Mahzi, and Melody (cats).
Private services and entombment were held at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port
