Eileen T. (Hoar, Rheaume) Sweeney,97, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2024, at Tidewell Hospice House, Port Charlotte, Florida.

Eileen was born 10/22/1927 in Haverhill, Massachusetts. She attended St. James Grammar School and graduated from Haverhill High School and MacIntosh Business School.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, reading magazines, watching Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy with a dish of ice cream. She was a proficient seamstress. Eileen cherished her Irish heritage, especially enjoying a trip to Ireland for her 80th birthday.

Eileen was an only child. She is preceded in death by her parents, John M. Hoar, and Julia A (Cleary) Hoar, and her former husband Wilfred H. Rheaume. She is survived by her 2 daughters,  Patricia (Raymond) Shepard and Nancy Warman; grandsons Scott, Steve (Leanna) and Kevin (Misha) Shepard; William and Chris (Hannah) Ballinger; great granddaughters Emmy Rose and Laurynn Ballinger and a great-great grandson, Camden; ex-husband  Richard Sweeney and his son Kenny (Cheryl) and Meaghan (Sweeney) Kezer, and her dear friend and sister-in-law Geraldine (O’Leary) Rheaume.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at a future date in Haverhill, Massachusetts. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation noted in Eileen’s memory to Tidewell Hospice House, 1158 Veronica St. Port Charlotte, FL 33952
