at her residence.
She was born March 31, 1924 in New York, New York and recently moved to
Punta Gorda from Queens, NY after wintering in this area for many years. She was
a Roman Catholic and a retired certified nursing assistant.
Survived by her loving family, a daughter, Eleanor E. Alleccia of Punta Gorda;
Two grandsons, Gary Alleccia of Winter Springs, FL and Robert Alleccia of Punta Gorda; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband,
Thomas Lyons. She was affectionately called(Little Grandma) by her grandchildren.
A Memorial Mass will be held Thursday 11:00 AM, July 16, 2009 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Port Charlotte. Interment will be held at
a later date in Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
