Emma D. Chrobak, 89, of Port Charlotte, Florida, died peacefully Tuesday evening, October 14, 2008, three days prior to her ninetieth birthday, at Peace River Regional Medical Center in Port Charlotte, following a brief period of declining health.
Born Emma D. Miller on October 17, 1918 in Elizabeth, New Jersey, where she spent her formative years, Emma later resided for many years in Rahway, NJ.
She is survived by a large, loving family which includes her three children, Raymond Miller (wife Irene) of Port Charlotte, daughter Mrs. Carol L. Weitzel (husband James) of Port Charlotte, and Robert Miller of Durham, NC; five grandsons, Ray Jr., Keith and Brian Miller, and Ryan and Chad Weitzel; seven great grandchildren, Caitlin, Jordan and Brooke Miller, and Harley, Cole, Brianna, and Olivia Weitzel; and two brothers, William Miller of Suwanee, GA, and Robert Miller of Clearwater, FL. Emma was preceded in death by husbands Carl Miller and Frank Chrobak.
