He was born August 1, 1921 in Jackson, Mississippi. Mr. Harper was a retired automotive engineer. He was a Pearl Harbor Survivor and veteran of World War II, U. S. Navy. He was honorably discharged from the U.S. Naval Reserve in 1955 as a Lieutenant, JG.
Survived by a daughter, Rose Marie Sierra of Venice, Florida; and a son Jerry Harper of Biloxi, MS; and 2 grandchildren Gregory and Alison. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen A. Harper.
Interment and committal services with military honors a U.S. Navy Honor Guard will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida on Friday, November 16, 2012 at 2:30 PM.
