EUGENE “BUD” ARNOLD LEHNEN, 81, of Punta Gorda, Florida died Tuesday,
August 7, 2012 at his residence.
He was born June 5, 1931 in St. Cloud, Minnesota and moved to Florida in 1995 from
Virginia. He was a retired material management specialist for Washington Gas Company and a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War. Eugene was a Catholic and a life member of the Country Entertainment & Musicians Benevolent Association (C.E.M.B.A.).
He is survived by his loving family, his wife of 47 years, Doris Ann Lehnen of
Port Charlotte; a daughter, Sherry Grace of Virginia; four sons, Jeffrey Lehnen of Maryland, Eugene Lehnen of Florida, Michael and Richard Lehnen both of Maryland; three brothers, Leroy Lehnen of Florida, Clyde and Jerome Lehnen of Minnesota ; 11 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren ; preceded in death by his grandson, James William and two sisters, LuVern Hallick and Arlene Biggerstaff;
Visitation will be held Thursday from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel, with a Catholic Wake Service at 7 PM. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, 11:00 AM, August 10, 2012 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Port Charlotte. Interment with military honors by a U.S. Navy Honor Guard will follow at Restlawn Memorial Gardens, Port Charlotte.
