Eva Mae Bybel, age 88, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2019 in Port Charlotte.
She was born January 5, 1931 in Scottdale, Pennsylvania, to the late Walter and Clara Sanders. She had her own Beauty Shop in Scottdale, PA, for 5 years and continued styling hair for many years in Indiana. Eva then moved with her husband Steve Bybel, from their longtime home of Portage, Indiana, to Port Charlotte, Florida in 1987. She greatly enjoyed the Florida lifestyle and she will be missed by many. She was a member of the Methodist faith.
Eva was a talented oil painter who painted many beautiful paintings, and she also painted lovely, delicate Porcelain plates along with numerous other crafts. Her works of art were loved by many.
She is survived by daughters Valerie Adams of IN, and Stephanie Blackman of Port Charlotte, FL; four grandchildren, James Adams of CA, Tina (John) Yelen of IL, Steve (Adrian) Conner of FL, and Shawn Adams of FL; four great-grandchildren, Todd (Lori) Baker of IN, Amber Conner of WA, Easton Conner of FL, and Emersyn Conner of FL; one great-great-grandson, infant Charles Baker of IN, and longtime family friend Jack Yurick of Port Charlotte, FL; sisters Faye Tressler of IN, and Mona Lee Coffman of PA. She is also survived by her loving canine companion, Lambchop. Besides her parents Walter and Clara, Eva was preceded in death by a sister Florence Christner, and a brother Keith Sanders, as well as her beloved husband of 65 years, Steve, in 2014, and a daughter, Diana in 2016.
In accordance with Eva’s wishes, there will be no public services and her ashes will be scattered over the Gulf waters of Florida.
