She was born November 26, 1928 in Brooklyn, New York. She and her husband, John moved to Port Charlotte in 1997 from Stamford, New York. Evelyn was an Ordained Minister in the Independent Assemblies of God Church and attended the Port Charlotte United Methodist Church. She was a faithful companion to her husband. Together they served many churches over the years were she specialized in Christian Education and Sunday School Classes including 7 years in British Guiana/Guyana, South America.
Survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Pastor John M. Robertson of Port Charlotte; a daughter, Joy Robertson of Rifton, NY; a sister, Elizabeth Casale of Staten Island, NY; and a brother, Richard Gronnestad of Germantown, NY.
Memorial services will be held Wednesday 11:00 AM, December 23, 2015 at the Port Charlotte United Methodist Church, 21075 Quesada Ave., Port Charlotte, FL 33952. Interment will be private.
