Born June 19, 1929 in Chicago, Illinois . Evelyn was a graduate of Kalvin Park High School, Chicago and was united in marriage to David William Monday in Chicago. She moved to Florida 21 years ago from Wauconda, Illinois.
Evelyn worked as the secretary to the Superintendent for Fremont Center School and later worked as the secretary at Messiah Lutheran Church in Wauconda. Evelyn and her husband David led Eskin Tours around the world. She was a long time member of Faith Lutheran Church in Punta Gorda. Evelyn was an active member of Lifelong Learners. She enjoyed gardening, golfing, traveling, playing pinochle and especially loved her grandchildren. She really valued her friendships.
Survivors include three daughters, Cathy (Ralph) Ferguson, Sharon (Jack Paxton) Monday and Kim (Tom Tucker) Royster; grandchildren, David and Matt Ferguson, Reinal and Maria Dorsey and Taylor Tucker; preceded in death by her husband, David W. Monday; Parents, Martin and Anna Kasch.
Monday, October 22, 2012 there will be a visitation from 10:00 AM till 11:00 AM with funeral services at 11:00 AM at Faith Lutheran Church in Punta Gorda. Rev. Allen Dana Narring will officiate. Interment and committal service will be held Tuesday 1:00 PM, October 23, 2012 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
