Mrs. Filomena Martello, 93, of Port Charlotte, Florida, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2008 at Quality Health Care Center in North Port, Florida.
Filomena was born the second child of eight children on June 11, 1915 in New York City, New York, to the late Michael and Antoinette (nee-Amendolare) Pace. Filomena lived in Massapequa, Long Island New York until she relocated to Port Charlotte, Florida to live with her daughter Colette in 1993. Filomena was a loving and beloved sister, wife and mother, and grand and great grandmother. She was Roman Catholic.
Filomena is survived by her daughters, Nicoletta (Colette) Happel of Port Charlotte, FL, and Antoinette Dillon of Floral Park, NY, and son, Emanuele Martello of West Hempstead, NY; two sisters, Lena Mitacchione and Edith Masiello, both of DeLand, FL; nine grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Vincent Martello, four brothers and one sister.
