FLOYD ROBERT “BOB” WATTS, 88, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Sunday, December 16, 2012 at Tidewell Hospice, Port Charlotte.
Bob was born November 10, 1924 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Walter & Vera Watts and moved to Port Charlotte 20 years ago from Mount Airy, Maryland. He was a retired cartographer & photogrammertrist for the National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration, Washington, D.C. He was member of the Port Charlotte United Methodist Church and the U.S.S. Register Reunion Club. Bob was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
He is survived by a sister, Ruth Winkler of Riverview, Michigan; two nephews, a niece, and several great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha A. Watts in 1996.
Visitation will be held Wednesday 1-4 PM, Dec. 19, 2012 at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel with a funeral service at 4 PM Wed. Rev. Brian James will officiate. Further services and interment will be held in Detroit.
