Forest “Frosty” C. Bashore, 59, of Port Charlotte, Florida passed away on July 7, 2022 at home.

Frosty was born January 30, 1963 in Paulding, Ohio to William “Bill” and Rowena (Chester) Bashore. He was a 1981 graduate of Paulding High School. He married his wife Christine (Allen) in 1982 and they lived in Convoy, Ohio for 30 years.

Frosty retired from General Motors in 2019 and moved to Florida to enjoy his retirement. He loved watching Chicago Cubs baseball, boating and being called “Poppy” by his grandson.

Family survivors include his two children, Zachary Bashore and Emily (Rylan) Yackey; his grandson, Henry Yackey; and his mother, Rowena Bashore. He was preceded in death by his wife Christine and his father, Bill.

I will miss you my friend. We met when I first came to Mapleleaf. We had many laughs playing pickleball. You believed in karma and lived being kind to others. Having Henry, your grandson, made you one happy grandpa. Always grateful you knew such joy. I am praying for your soul and that you live everlasting life with God. Love, Gail and Ben

Sorry for your loss. I have many fond memories growing up with him in Paulding. So glad he was able to fulfill his dream of moving to Florida to be near where he and Chris vacationed. Ill have to tune into some Waylon Jennings and bring back some more memories.
