Frank Hansen, 83, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Saturday December 28, 2019.

Frank was born June 10, 1936 in Washington, D.C. to the late Svend and Mary Hansen. He was a retired purchasing manager for the U.S. Postal Service and served in the Virginia Air National Guard. He was a member of the Port Charlotte United Methodist Church. In retirement he was a substitute teacher for Charlotte and Sarasota Public Schools.

He is survived by his loving wife, Elizabeth “Betty” S. Hansen of Port Charlotte; a daughter, Amanda Benedick of Olney, MD; a sister, Sonja Skelton of Clearwater, FL; a granddaughter, Kathryn Ross; and two nephews, Bruce and Jeff Brown.

Memorial services will be held Friday 2:00 PM, January 31, 2020 at the Port Charlotte United Methodist Church, 21075 Quesada Ave., Port Charlotte, FL 33952.

Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Port Charlotte United Methodist Church After School Program or to the New Operation Cooper Street, 650 Mary St., Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
