Gail Marie Billings, it is with profound sadness that we inform you of the passing of Gail on Tuesday, January 21, 2025, at the age of 72.
Gail was born to parents William Billings and Alvena Cook in Trenton, Michigan on August 12, 1952. Gail was the oldest of four girls and took her role of big sister seriously, always being there for her younger siblings.
Gail married Robert (Bob) Pawlowski on May 20, 1994, and they made their home in Brighton, Michigan. She worked for the State of Michigan for 33 years as a field office secretary for the Michigan OSHA program, handling her responsibilities at an A+ level. She and her spouse were fortunate to retire and spend time traveling at their leisure. They eventually built a place in Florida where they spent winter months together.
Gail enjoyed reading, sewing, gardening and traveling. She had an astute eye for fine art which she enjoyed displaying in their lovely home. She loved her family dearly and was always engaged and curious about young folks’ lives, interests and future goals. She fought courageously to get better but alas the Lord called her to eternal life. Her quiet calm strength through her illness will always be remembered.
Gail was preceded in passing by her parents, William and Alvena Billings and her brother-in-law, Raymond. She is survived by her husband Bob, children, Kevin (Tricia) and Jeremy, her grandson Connor, and her granddaughter Natalie (Nick). She is also survived by sisters Sharon (Bill), Donna and Diane, sisters-in-law Stephanie (Jerry) and Linda Pawlowski, and many nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
