Genevieve “Jean” Ferrentino, 68, of Port Charlotte, Florida died Monday, March 6, 2017 at Tidewell Hospice House, Port Charlotte.

She was born July 31, 1948 in Brooklyn, New York where she lived until she moved to Port Charlotte in 1991. She was an employee of Walgreen’s Pharmacy of Charlotte Harbor for 25 years and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church of Port Charlotte and an officer at the Son’s of Italy Lodge 2507.

She is survived by her loving family, her husband, Robert “Poppy) H. Ferrentino of Port Charlotte; her children, Kelly Nierstedt and husband Richard of Allentown, NJ, Amy Guinn of Port Charlotte, Joseph Ferrentino and wife Lisa of Port Charlotte, Dolores Mazza and husband Mike of Brooklyn, NY, Robert Ferrentino, Jr. and wife Dana of Brooklyn, NY, Frankie Ferrentino of Staten Island, NY and Vincent Ferrentino of Brooklyn, NY; brother, Donald Finnegan of Naples FL; and sister, Marion Rhodes of Naples, Florida. Her greatest joy and love were her 16 grandchildren, Pamela, Elisha, Charlie, Ryan, Alexandra, Michelle, Tiffany, Danielle, Michael, Jr., Lindsey Jean, Joseph, Jr., Gabriella, Brittany, Anthony, Christopher, and Nicholas; a great grandson, Stephen; and her dog, Joe.

Visitation will be held Saturday 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, March 11, 2017 followed by a Prayer Service at 5:00 PM at Roberson Funeral Home Port Charlotte Chapel.
