Brandy Waibel left a message on August 25, 2012:
I remember always being so proud when he showed up at the Grandparent lunches when I was in elementary school and now that feeling overwhelms me. Whether he was chasing me around with his false teeth teasing me as a kid or counseling me on my adult decisions, I always knew he loved me. I already miss the sound of his voice and getting his opinion on everything from religion & politics to the weather. He is woven into the fabric of who I am. Grandpa, you told me you had dreams and though they didn’t work out you were glad you had them, because them not working out allowed you to meet me. Well, I’m glad too Grandpa, because I got to be a part of your world. I only hope that you took away as many happy memories as you left me with. In our last conversation I made a promise and all I can say is, I’m trying. With so much love, Brandy

A life time of memories, from trips to Dairy Queen, rides in the Gran Torino, fishing at Low Water, 3wheelers in the California Desert, the trip to the Keys with Millie and Noriko, the McDonald toys and garage sale, the Rubber Chicken at my wedding, and of course The Red Monte. A endless list of a lifetime of Happy memories and Joy in my life shared with my Grandpa. An emptiness that can never be filled but soothed in time, may we all laugh and smile with the Joy and he brought us all.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away. Well Daddy you have taken my breath away. I now see the dandelion as a wish as you said and not a weed no more. You can close your eyes to things you don't want to see, but you can't close your heart to the things you don't want to feel you told me. I don't want to miss you or cry but I do. I rewind my last days with you and realize your love and life will go on forever with Brandy and Josh and your great-grandsons. The smile on your face is a lasting memory in my heart. And now you are my Angel Daddy , so spread your wings out wide, and please wrap them around me whenever you see me cry. Forever My Love, Your Kathy Ann
