George was born to Julius and Rose Laurie on July 24, 1925 in Youngstown, Ohio. George was a U.S. Army veteran and a member of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. George was a wonderful father and brother and will forever be missed by all who loved and knew him.
Survivors include his daughter, Charlene Folk of Atwater, OH; 2 sons, George Laurie of Cordillera, CO and Ron Laurie of Port Charlotte and 2 brothers, William Laurie of Hubbard, OH and Joseph Laurie of Homestead, FL. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Sylvia Laurie.
A Memorial Mass will be held 11:00AM, Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Port Charlotte. Inurnment will be held at a later date by the family.
Friends may visit at www.robersonfh.com to sign the memory book and extend condolences to the family. Arrangements are by Roberson Funeral Home & Crematory Port Charlotte Chapel.
